In the tough race mode of Speedy Ball, you will often come across blocks of different colors. Three distinct color blocks stand out and each performs a unique function. To begin, green blocks speed things up. Not going into gaps and getting extra speed points to finish faster require smarts and speed. The red cells, on the other hand, will slow you down. This will cause you to be late, but it will also give you more time to avoid any gaps in traffic. Last but not least, the yellow blocks have the ability to bounce very high. If you roll your ball into these yellow blocks, it will jump up and fly through the holes without any trouble.
